It's a new year

[ source ] 2012 was a wonderful year. So much has happened, but nothing terribly huge. I didn't write a Year End Letter this year (or send cards at all--because I was lazy. Oops!) which is fine because I didn't feel like there was much to say. Big things that have happened? Well, we did a bit of traveling (nothing major), got pregnant and had a miscarriage x2, got two chickens, and added a guest bathroom. I shot a total of 19 weddings this year (either as primary or secondary photographer). I took up running and then gave it up. I'm still working for the G's (my 2nd family!). Mike went back to working for himself. I finally hung up some pictures in our home. We spent a lot of time with family. <3 All in all, I am constantly reminded of how very blessed we are. God has been so good to us--in the good times and the bad! Goodbye 2012 and hello 2013! I can't to see what is in store. :)

2012 Year in Review

Click here to see previous Year in Review surveys. 2012: In The Beginning Where did you bring in the New Year? At home Who were you with? Mike, Bella, Mary, Mom and Dad. Also, Leo and Adrienne stopped by. Did you make any resolutions? " To start being truly thankful. To exercise more. To touch my toes." Guess what? I still can't touch my toes. I know you all are incredibly shocked. I did exercise more--some. And I never got far in my thankful journal... 2012: Your Love Life Did you break up with anyone? Nope! Did you get anything for Valentine's day? To be honest, I don't remember much about VD except that we went to the Trappe Door for lunch and I learned that I had won a seat in the SposaBella BE BETTER workshop series. Did you meet anyone special? Not romantically. This is dumb. This answer will never change. Did you fall in love? With two special chickens: Peggy & Joan. 2012: Friends and Enemies Did you meet any new friends this year? I mak...

botb: an update, just so you don't go thinking i'm pregnant because i haven't said anything in a while. ;)

I've just returned from getting my blood drawn. I've never had so much blood drawn as I have in the past few months. And really, getting all that blood drawn really adds up. Especially when they heap on the testing they do to that blood. Yikes. But that's not really what I wanted to write about. We all know how expensive medical care can be. What I wanted to write was just a little update on my heart. Friends with caring hearts have inquired. It's nice to know that people are praying for me. :) My heart is fine. It's rather content, actually. I'm absolutely loving my time with my husband and my dog. I'm focusing on my photography. (If anyone in Greenville needs photography, call me! I need the money. ~_^) I'm having lunch/coffee/drinks with girlfriends and photography friends. I love going to my Ladies' Bible Study (though, they have childcare, so...irrelevant). All that to say, I'm loving my life. I get that this is the lot that I'v...

Old and incredibly dull

So, sometime before I deleted by old blog (Overanalyzed), I toyed around with the idea of moving to wordpress. I imported my blog into wordpress, played around with it, and hated it. However, I never delelted it. And what does that mean? I was able to import those old entries into this blog! I was pretty excited about that until I went back and read the first entry . What a dull blog. HAHAHA. Just read the post where I say that I think I wish have a crush on "BH" (I didn't call anyone by their name at first) until the day I die. Oh, sad little lovesick me. And I used to TYPe LiKe THiS SoMeTiMeS. That's awfully annoying. But, I suppose, it's all a piece of the girl I was and therefore, I'm glad to have it too look back on.

2011 Year in Review

Happy New Year's Eve! Time for the annual survey! ^_^ (Go here to see past surveys.) 2011: In The Beginning Where did you bring in the New Year? In Michigan at Mike's parents' home. Who were you with?  Mike, Kristy & I watched How To Train Your Dragon with their mom & step-dad. :) Did you make any resolutions? According to last year's survey, it was to "Be adventurous and touch my toes." However, I also recall resolving to exercise more, drink more water, eat healthier, dress more creatively, and push my photography skills to the next level. And touch my toes. I really thought I'd get that one... 2011: Your Love Life Did you break up with anyone? Nope! Did you get anything for Valentine's day?   Heck yes! I got season tickets to the Peace Center's broadway series! Did you meet anyone special? Not romantically. This is dumb. This answer will never change. Did you fall in love? With a camera... 2011: Friends and Enemies Di...

so much pretty: nada

If you've noticed a lack in So Much Pretty posts lately, it's because I just haven't had any outfits that I felt were worth sharing. Or maybe I did and I just forgot to take photos of them. I feel like I've been dressing relatively mediocre lately. And, actually, I'm okay with ti. I realized that it's not so much that I want to be a creative dresser, as much as I want to be put together and classy. But the other day, I wore jeans with a pretty wide flair, casual driving shoes, a tee-shirt and a cozy red fleece. Oh, so yummy to be casual. Moral of this post: you don't have to break fashion rules everyday. Right now, I'm wearing basic black leggings and a fitted black tee. But don't worry, Mary, I never go in public without covering my bum. (For those of you who think leggings are pants, they are not!) Also, I still need a pair of gray suede boots, please. And, because every blog post is better with a picture. Here's a photo of someone w...

2010 Year In Review

2010: In The Beginning Where did you bring in the New Year? I don't remember the stroke of midnight. Photos from the 1st tell me that Mary & Kevin were in town. So we probably celebrated at my parents' house. Mike and I spent most of New Year's Day working on our new home with my parents. Who were you with? On New Year's Day, I had lunch w/ Amanda. Afterwards, Mom, Dad, Mike and I worked on the house. Thrilling, I know. Did you make any resolutions? Again, I resolved to touch my toes. Maybe I will be able to this year. 2010: Your Love Life Did you break up with anyone? Nope! Did you get anything for Valentine's day?  We went out for sushi and saw Valentine's Day. It was a great date :) Did you meet anyone special? Not romantically Did you fall in love? With my puppy! 2010: Friends and Enemies Did you meet any new friends this year? Oh, sure! I made a bunch of new photog girlfriends. Did any of your friendships end? Not that I can think of... ...

2009 Year-In-Review

2009: In The Beginning Where did you bring in the New Year? At my parent's house with lots of goofy pictures and pink champagne Who were you with? Mom, Dad, Mary and Mike. Did you make any resolutions? Touch my toes. (No, I still can't.) 2009: Your Love Life Did you break up with anyone ? Nope! Did you get anything for Valentine's day? Um. I really feel like I should know this...but, ugh. I have no idea. (Neither does Mike!) Did you meet anyone special? Not as far as my love life is concerned. Did you fall in love? I married my best friend, if that's not falling in love, I don't know what is. 2009: Friends and Enemies Did you meet any new friends this year? Lots of new friends at school :) Did any of your friendships end? Friendships changed, but didn't end. Did you dislike anyone? Not that I can think of... Did you make any new enemies? I don't do the whole enemy thing. Too much work. Did you resolve any fights? I'm married, so, yes! Who was(wer...

Home again!

I had a week without Internet which was good because a gal can be pretty productive when there are no blogs to read and no Facebook to check. This means that, yes, I think I'm finally catching up on my school work. :) This week I have a few presentations to give, a few group project meetings to attend (I hate group work) and a few papers to finish. Next week I have a few exams to pass. After that, I have big plans: thank you notes, wedding scrapbook, and cleaning the apartment top to bottom. As for right now, I've got to get to bed. I've spent the whole day in the car and it's time to rest up for work tomorrow.

Short update

I realize that I've been lazy about blogging lately. I'm trying to figure out how to juggle college, work, and being married. Actually, right now I'm blogging from one of my classes. We have a lot of rabbit trails in class and now I'm not entirely sure what the class is about. Big news in my world? I'm a homeowner! Mike and I bought a house this week. It's an old house that is in need of some serious love and it's going to take us several months to fix it up. We went to the house right after the closing and I took a few pictures that you can view here .

Partial feed

For those of you who subscribe to In Pursuit via RSS feed, you should know that I've changed to a partial feed. This means that only the first paragraph (or so) will be shown when you see the posts on your reader. Just thought you might want to know before you start wondering why all my posts are suddenly ridiculously short. Or, of course, you might be (rightfully) wondering why I'm not posting at all. That's because I'm a journalism major and I've got scene descriptions (film class), package scripts (broadcast news class), and other things to write. ♥, TiffanyAnne

Miss me much?

I hope you say yes. I've been busy, super busy. I went to an Indian seminar this past weekend and I have been bogged down with school. So bogged down, in fact, that I haven't been lindy hopping in three weeks. Gasp--but, I'm hanging in there. It's not like I haven't been online, though, because I totally have. I want to share with you a few of my new loves and additions to the RSS feed. Worthington Wire - created by Mrs. Fussypants who describes it as a sort of "“Drudge for Chicks” DivineCaroline - a website full of articles written by real women on every topic under the sun. ♥, TiffanyAnne

V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N in the summer sun!

In just a wee bit, I will be leaving with my family and headed westward to the coast. A family vacation. We will be visiting my kuyah (tagalog for brother) and I am rather excited about all of this because I really cannot recall the last time we were all five of us together in one place that was not a courtroom. I have never visited my brother with my family; once with Mike, once alone, and once with the other Mike. Anyway, I highly doubt that I will have great access to the internet while I am away so I have taken the liberty to add a handy little twitter widget to the blog--temporarily. This is for those of you who check my blog daily. You shall not check in vain! ♥, TiffanyAnne p.s. when you see some tinyurls in my twittering that is when i have uploaded photos...
