a wee bit of me wednesdays 2

{one}  what kind of camera do you have?  Canon Rebel XT and a Fugifilm Finepix E900  {two}  you just won $1000 and you have to spend it on yourself on one item. what do you buy?  a Canon 60d {three}  if you had to choose, would you rather live with your parents in the same house forever or 5000 miles away?   Tough question! Same house, if I had to choose. 5000 is an expensive distance to travel and I might not get to see them for YEARS if I lived that far away! {four}  is your christmas tree up yet?  No, but Mike says we can put one up this weekend!! I'm so excited :)  {five}  do you bring reusable bags to the grocery store?  Sometimes.  {six}  which would be worse: listening to the same song on replay for the rest of your life or having to eat the same meal everyday for the rest of your life?  Eating the same meal for the rest of my life. I love food and I'd hate to be incredibly limited forever.  {seven}  name 3 things you are thankful for this season.  my husband, my

A few points about the grocery store

Why isn't there any pumpkin bread at the grocery store right now? I mean, seriously, we are TWO days away from Thanksgiving! The gravy is on sale, the Stove Top Stuffing is right inside the front doors. But there isn't any pumpkin bread? This makes no sense! On another note, anyone have a great recipe for pumpkin bread? I love bumping into friends at the grocery store. Not acquaintances. You know, the kind that you avoid their eye because you're afraid that if you say "Hi" that they might stop and it'll soon turn awkward. Oh, is that just me? Hmm... I love bumping into friends. It just reminds me what a small town Greenville can sometimes be. I bumped into a friend I haven't seen in ages and we blocked up the aisle for several minutes. Do you like it when the baggers take out your groceries for you? It always makes me feel awkward! I mean, I can make enough conversation to get to the car, but once I open the doors, I usually find myself standing

Silhouette

I just had to share this photo I took of my parents a few weeks ago...

Need some photography done?

Do you live in the Greater Greenville, SC area? Do you want a free portrait session? This week only, because I have the week off from work, I'm offering a bit of a special. A $0 session fee and after you're session you'll have the option of purchasing prints or downloads . We'll do a 60 to 90 minute session in the location of your choice. We can do the mountains, the park, your home, downtown, anywhere! I really really really want to take photos of couples, newborns, or baby bumps. If these don't apply to you, contact me anyway. I still want to take your photo! Tell your mom. Tell your friends. Email me and we can discuss our options! fraukuech[at]gmail[dot]com

a wee bit of me wednesdays

{one}  what time do you normally wake up? If I have to work, my alarm clock goes off at 6:30am. So, that's the official time. I usually get out of bed anytime between then and 6:55am. I can get ready FAST. If I don't have to work, it's a little later, but rarely past 8am. If it's a weekend, it's even later.  {two}  do you have a go-to song for karaoke? No. Which goes against all my filipino blood. The one karaoke song I remember singing is "1-2-3" by Gloria Estefan . Also, my favorite song to sing on the Rock Band is "Still Alive" by GLaDOS . {three}  if you could only see black and white except for one color, what color would you choose to see? Red, probably. {four}  what color best matches your personality? I don't know. Can't I give you a color palette instead? I think that color would depend on my mood. {five}  if you could choose one meal to cook better than anyone else, what would it be? Can't I just say "dinner"

First Annual Greenville Zombie Awakening

You know, I wouldn't necessarily say that I'm in a blogging funk as much as I feel that I've got nothing interesting to say. Or, really, that it just doesn't occur to me to blog. I've been reading all of your blogs, however. I'm still on the map, I swear. If you twitter, follow me @fraukuech and let me know that you're one of my blog readers. Otherwise, I probably won't follow you back in fear that you're a random spammer or a twitter zombie. Partially to blame is this man: Kristy got me Professor Layton and the Unwound Future as an early Christmas gift. And, of course, I was immediately addicted. If you have a Nintendo DS and if you like brain puzzles and a good mystery to solve, get this game! I've beaten the game. Now, if anyone would like to get me Professor Layton and the Curious Village, I would much appreciate it. (I have played the Diabolical Box on our trip to Bangladesh.)

Candy

I didn't think we'd be home for Halloween. Of course, we bought candy anyway. Then, I realized we'd be home for Halloween and didn't have candy left over. I was nervous that we wouldn't have enough candy so we bought a lot. I mean, a really unreasonable ammount of candy. And last night? We got a grand total of THREE trick-or-treaters. We have a lot of candy left over.
