new In Pursuit jewelry!

I've got some new pieces for sale at my Etsy shop . They're pretty different from what I'm used to making and I'm quite pleased with them. I kind of think of these pieces as my "vintage inspired" line. cute custom header!

Isn't this neat? I've been trying to figure out how to make cool looking blogger headers like this without having to mess with photoshop. Which I do have access to (hello, my DH is a graphic designer) but it's just far to confusing for me to want to figure out. But, oh lookee here , Shabby Blogs posted a tutorial! I did this using a free online photo editor, FotoFlexer . I had to give it a try and it was really easy. Maybe I'll change the look of my blog AGAIN because now I can use the super cute headers on Shabby Blogs! :)

On the wings of drama.

I have been watching this season's The Bachelor since the second episode and I've been hooked! I never thought I would enjoy watching The Bachelor, or the Bachelorette, because I hate the principle of the show. I hate the idea that, at the end, he makes this ridiculously hard decision between two women, both of whom he loves. I would hate to be one of those women; knowing that there is another gorgeous woman right behind me in a very close second place. I wouldn't want to be the woman that won the competition. I would want there to be no competition! And I guess that's why I wasn't ever on the Bachelor. That being said. I'm fully loving this show! Excepting Ali's sudden departure, I've been able to predict the women that would leave fairly easily. Even today, I knew that Gia would leave. I didn't want her to leave, I along with the majority of Bachelor watcher want Vienna to be gone, but I knew she would stay. My DH and I formed a theory a few

a few thoughts on the opening ceremonies with pictures, none of which are actually from last night

[ Source ] 1) I totally predicted Gretzky even before that guy from Team USA did. Mike said it would be too predictable. It was. winning the stanley cup [ Source ] 2) The first nations dancing. Swoon. Loved it. Could hardly look at anything else! The beautiful regalia! The fancy feather dancers looked awesome. The tradition ladies in *drool* fully beaded shawls. The sparkly jingle dancers. Of course, the fancy shawl dancers were the prettiest out there! I might be bias. Oh this pic is totally not from the olympics. 3) Can't wait for the figure skating. ♥ Yes this is an old pic. Don't care. Kristi was my 1st fave. [ source ]

I am...

I was tagged by Chloe from Trying to Throw My Arms Around The World . I AM – a great sinner and Christ is a great savior. (Okay, John Newton said that, not me.)  I HAVE – the best husband in the whole entire world. God gave me Mike, who is so perfect for me. I could wax poetic for ages about his patience. He's quite handy around the house. He works hard. He's Godly. He's someone who encourages me in my spiritual walk. And he's really, really good looking.  I WISH – we were done fixing up the house already! Not only am I eager to get it, but Mike work's so hard and sometimes it seems like there's no break in sight. (And for you nay-sayers, I actually helped today. On my hands and knees scraping glued-on carpet pad off the hardwoods.) I WANT – another chocolate pudding cup. OMG, those things are so good.  I FEAR – scary paranormal. Like ghosts, mean aliens (like in Signs), Radioactive squirrels. I HEAR – the din of machine guns from modern warfare 2.

Catherine and Nellie on reasons to marry

'There are many things to be considered before that question can be answered properly,' I said, sententiously. 'First and foremost, do you love Mr. Edgar?' 'Who can help it? Of course I do,' she answered. Then I put her through the following catechism: for a girl of twenty-two it was not injudicious. 'Why do you love him, Miss Cathy?' 'Nonsense, I do - that's sufficient.' 'By no means; you must say why?' 'Well, because he is handsome, and pleasant to be with.' 'Bad!' was my commentary. 'And because he is young and cheerful.' 'Bad, still.' 'And because he loves me.' 'Indifferent, coming there.' 'And he will be rich, and I shall like to be the greatest woman of the neighbourhood, and I shall be proud of having such a husband.' 'Worst of all.' Adorable herbs!

source - southern living How adorable is this shallow herb box? I saw it in February's Southern Living and fell in love. I think this is a super cute way to grow herbs. You can use them as outdoor centerpieces. LOVE IT. I am anxious to start planting things at the new house so the yard is filled with colorful flowers and yummy vegetables.

Valentine's Day cards

You've got to give a Valentine's day card to everybody, right? And so the school's will send home a list of names so kids don't leave off someone. I saw the list of Davis's classmates and I've never seen a class full of so many unique names! Linus Cooper Wyatt Moritz Wolfi Parker Hans Caroline Christopher Davis Annaliese Jackson Yes, you read that right. Wolfi! How's that for a name. I hear he's from Germany.

Tasty Tuesday: stuffed shells

Yes. You read that right. I've never made stuffed shells. The closest I came was a few weeks ago when I watched Alanna make them. And I don't think watching someone cook is the same as cooking ;) This time, I'm actually going to share my recipe. I found one on AllRecipes to use, but I tweaked it a bit, so I'll just share what I did. :) ------ 26 uncooked jumbo pasta shells 1 pound ground beef 1/2 cup chopped onion 1 garlic clove, minced 2 (15 ounce) cans tomato sauce 1 (15 ounce) can Italian-style diced tomatoes, well drained 2 teaspoons dried oregano, divided 1/2 teaspoon dried basil Brown sugar (I'm not sure how much. My hand slipped. LOL. Maybe 1/8 cup?) 2 eggs, lightly beaten 3 cups small curd cottage cheese 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt It should be noted that for the onion and garlic, I used minced onion and minced garlic from the jar. The packaging of these items has di

Snow day!

It's a snow day for schools today which I think is just ridiculous. Because there is NO SNOW on the grounds. Hmmm.... It's still really cold, though. And I did have to scrape about two inches of ice off my car. I park in the shade. Bad idea. Scraped my car off and headed to work. I was late because it took me about fifteen minutes to make my care driveable. I even had to scrape the INSIDE of the windshield. I don't know how that works, but it was really annoying. Luckily, the heat in my car is finally working. So that's a major plus. Half-way to work, I decided to call because there way no way I'd get there in time. "Hey, it's me. I was just calling to let you know that I'll be a little late. I had a de-ice my car and inch past a few accidents, so I'll be a little late...." "Well, actually, you don't work today." Glorious words! I didn't even mind that I crawled out of bed and was scraping my car at 7AM. 'Cause I got to go
