Wildcat Wayside in Cleveland, SC

I love taking little adventures with my kiddos. The other day, we went with some friends to Wildcat Wayside , a small trail right off Highway 276 that is sprinkled with waterfalls. Being in nature is so restorative to my soul. (Even if I've developed seasonal allergies somehow and it feels like nature is being a backstabber.) My kids love being outside even more than I do, so it's fun to go exploring with them. Jojo happily bounded along the trail but Ruthie was not having it. The only time she walked, she cried! Poor girl spent most of the hike (it was only about a mile) enjoying a piggyback ride and I was really regretting that I left the Ergo at home. I rarely take it anymore, but I guess we haven't grown out of it! When we made it back to the bottom, Jojo almost immediately took off his socks and shoes and played in the freezing cold mountain stream.
