Ron : Six months she hadn’t seen me and it’s like I’m Frankie First year. I’m only her brother… Seamus : She’s got lots of those though, but there's only one Harry. Ron : Shut up, Seamus.

so much pretty: hair dye take 2

Is it okay to post my hair color update as a so much pretty post? Or, rather, should I spell it "colour"? See, I used Punky Colour this time, instead of Manic Panic, in Atlantic Blue. I chose Atlantic Blue because, well, it was on clearance at Ulta. I got all excited when I saw Punky Colour at Ulta and had picked out Violet. But then I walked past the clearance shelves and saw this. It was my only option and it was $1.99. Yes way! The violet was $8.99. And, since they sell Punky Colour on Amphigory , the same place Stargirl used to get her Special Effects hair color, I figured Punky would produce better results than Manic Panic. Speaking of Manic Panic, my Purple Haze hair dye washed out after about two weeks. A month later, there was a hint of reddish near my roots (that is where my hair lightened the most) but the rest of my hair was brown. I wasn't entirely surprised. Since I hadn't bleached my hair, I knew I wouldn't get superb results or anythin

Book: A Reliable Wife

I started reading it when we got in the car. Of the two books I had purchased at Joy of Books, a used bookstore in Hendersonville, NC, this was the one that the clerk said she loved. I was more exited about it too, so I read on the way back to our little stone cottage in Saluda. I read while we he watched TV and dozed until dinner. It was intriguing, sexy, and not at all what I had expected from a glance at the cover and title. Catherine Land has a plan. She's going to marry the rich and lonely Ralph Truitt. She saw his advertisement in a Chicago paper looking for a "reliable wife" and she responded. Catherine wrote to him, telling him that she was a "simple, honest woman" whose father was a missionary and who isn't looking for love. Just practicality. Out of the many replies he gets, Ralph chooses her. Ralph doesn't know that Catherine also plans to murder him with a poison she keeps in her old suitcase. She plans to marry him, kill him, and i

so much pretty: HAIR

Remember how I said that the photos of my purple purple hair was misleading? Here's proof. It's more magenta-y than purple. Not the look I was going for, but sassy enough for me. These photos were taken in Saluda, NC, by the way. An adorable little town just 45 minutes north of Greenville. Mike and I had a weekend getaway and outside our cottage was an adorable garden! If you ever find yourself in Saluda, you have to eat at the Purple Onion. So delicious! And this vest? I love this vest. I feel artsy in it. Even though I don't know if I look artsy. It's fun. It's a layer that I can do in the summer time. Win. This purse? It's from Anne Kline and the gold is falling off. Sad day, because I really love this purse. It's across the body. It's gold. It's got a little lion key fob. (Go Gryffindor!) This t-shirt? It's from Rue 21. It was $5. I wear it constantly. I have a gray one just like it. They are wonderful summertime t-shir

so much pretty: frilly

So, I know what you're going to say. No, Tiffany. We didn't want a picture of you wearing a purple shirt. We wanted a picture of you with the purple hair. Well guess what? These photos (snapped by the lovely Erin of Photo 127 Photography ) were taken before I dyed my hair. So deal with it. Please. ^_^ Anyway, this is an important post too. Why? Because I wear this outfit all the freaking time. Or, rather, I did. Before my hair changed color. Which, by the way, is not as purple as the previous photo would leave you to believe. Yes, you read that right. I misled you. It's just, all the other Instagram filters made my hair look brown! Speaking of brown? Does my hair look a lighter brown than before in these photos? That's because I totally used Sun-In . Seriously. I used it liberally and I loved it. I love love love this shirt. It's cute. It's frilly. It's a gorgeous color. And the jeans? Didn't think I'd still be rockin' the jegg

so much pretty: summertime

So, this shirt is super cute. Don't ask me where I got it, because I've got no idea. But I love it. It's cute and perfect for summer. Why is it perfect? It's got teeny straps and it's blousy. Perfect. These photos were taken by Tanya Waller, a budding photographer in Columbia, SC. She used to live in  Greenville and I know her from swing dancing. Well, we ran into each other at a photography workshop a few months ago! And, more recently, she asked if she could come up to Greenville and practice photography with me. So, sometimes I played model. And, happily, got these photos! If you follow both my blogs, you might recognize this place. It's ICAR! Wow, I sure do love taking photos there. :) Clearly, I'm a bit camera shy... shirt: um, it's old; jeans: mossimo; shoes: marshalls.  All photos © Tanya Waller.
