February FAIL

Well, I was a TOTAL FAIL. [ source ] These were my February Resolutions . Did I succeed? Complete Frugal February without cheating. At all.  NO. This one was such a big fail that I made a whole video about it. I'll post the link here as soon as I upload it. Do not skip Ladies' Bible Study.  PARTIALLY.  This was almost a success; I only skipped once! (Well, twice, actually. But that's because I joined a second bible study and skipped them both this past Tuesday. In my defense, I was doing taxes.) Do homework for Ladies' Bible Study.  YES. Totally success. I did my homework for both bible studies! Go to the gym at least twice a week.  NO. Hahaha. Total fail. I've been to the gym twice this month. And that's counting the time I plan on going tonight. Take Bella for a walk in the park at least twice a week.  NO. Well, I just totally forgot about this resolution. Keep up with my daily cleaning schedule.  PARTIALLY.  I mostly kept up w

i miss summer!

[ source ] We had a beautiful day yesterday. Sunshine and blue skies and a high of around 67˚! And today it's (relatively) cold and dreary again. It's made even more anxious for summer! I don't ever remember being this eager for summer.  Heck! I'm even looking forward to those horribly hot 90˚ days!  Maybe this means I'm really a southern girl now? When it's 44˚ outside and that's just way too cold for me. [ source ] Thinking specifically of Twinfest 2013! [ source ] [ source ]

so much pretty: olive keds

Again with the awkward pose on the right. OH well. I seriously love the way my hair looks in these photos. My favorite part? This is the easiest way to do my hair! I dry my bangs using steps 1-3 from this tutorial and then I let the rest air dry. I think for this look I actually fell asleep with wet hair. Easy peasy! Which is nice because blunt bangs are kind of high maintenance. Enough so that I'm toying around with the idea of growing them out... I love this outfit because it is so bright and colorful and comfortable! And I don't care that Mary hates my Keds. :) Speaking of Mary, she took these photos when I went to visit her last weekend. YAY. I love visiting my sister! I'm just trying to let you know how cold I am! Outfit details: Necklace: Kate Spade Sweater: Mossimo Supply Co Jeans: Mossimo Shoes: Keds

so much pretty: featured

My second time being on WAC Ave Street Photography ! This time Will didn't stop me on the street because I looked fabulous. We actually planned this shoot for my style profile! It was actually after this shoot that I went full on jeans and t-shirts. I spent so much time worrying about what I would wear...I actually made my sister video chat me (google hangouts!) so she could help me decide on my outfits. That kind of why I listed my personal style as "undefined." I will go weeks in jeans and tee-shirts and then I'll go weeks in a fabulous and different outfit everyday. For this shoot, I knew I wanted two pieces: my leather skirt and my floral blazer. So, I built my two outfits around those. Click on over and check out the full post !

Review: Mineral lipsticks by Austin Elements {indie cosmetics companies}

Prettily wrapped goodies from Austin Elements! The packaging reminded me of Lisa Frank which I absolutely loved growing up. Inside the package were six lipsticks as well as papers containing descriptions and the ingredients of the different lipsticks. I particularly loved that she included a description and ingredients list for each color so I didn't have to go hunting around for that information! There were two different tubes of lipstick. One looked more traditional and the other looked more like a lip balm. Actually, it was kind of shaped like a lighter. (Thanks to Anne Marie for noticing that!) While they are listed as "mineral lipstick" and "lipstick lipbalm" respectively, I don't know that there is any difference between the two. The papers that I recieved didn't show a difference in formula aside from dyes/pigments. So Much Pretty: sequined sandals...my favorite!

I was so dang excited to wear these shoes to work the other day. We played outside all afternoon, including sidewalk chalk on the driveway. Sidewalk chalk is my sign that spring really is just around the corner. Wearing sandals is a good sign too. ;) Like my tee? Lauren, Davis, Cameron (neighbor friend), and I were all wearing similar colored tees. I guess we all got the memo! Sorry for the terribly unflattering pose in photo #2. I really should have known better, but I was running late and the camera was blinking at me! Necklace: Kate Spade Tee: Mossimo Supply Co Jeans: J. Crew Sandals: White Mountain

So Much Pretty: Casual Fridays a.k.a. Bella is a knee-sniffer

Sometimes, I try so hard to dress interesting that I want to wear nothing but jeans for a while. That's how this week has been. I've been in jeans all. week. long. Sometimes, I'll top my jeans with my Red Wings tee-shirt other times, I'll go crazy and wear a cute top and cardigan.  This was half and half: gray boy-friend tee with pretty cardigan. This outfit is not striking. It's not ground breaking. It's just comfortable and cute. I've been recently thinking about how I mostly only do outfit posts when I feel I have a post that is "worth" sharing. Which means its interesting and pushing my limits. Well, duh, you might say. Isn't that why you started So Much Pretty in the first place? Well, yeah. But I think I'm going to be changing it up a bit. You'll see more outfits that are my everyday dress along with the outfits that took me ages to pick out. You see, I spend so much time in jeans and t-shirts. And my comf

Twinfest 2012: Amelia Island

Ah, the long awaited TWINFEST2012 post! I can't believe I never posted any of these pictures. It could be the horrible last day we had. It could be that I had a miscarriage shortly upon returning home. Who knows why? What's important is that it's being documented now. This first photo was taken at 6AM. It would take us about 6 hours to get to Amelia Island and we wanted to make the most of our trip, so we left super early. This post is super picture heavy, so the rest of the pictures are after the jump!

so much pretty: colombian statement necklace

I recently modeled for a sweet local photographer, Jamie Benoit. It was my first time modeling with a new photographer (i.e. someone who wasn't already one of my friends) and I wasn't sure what to expect. However, Jamie is super sweet and I had such a fun time getting to know her and taking fun pictures! I had the hardest time picking out my outfits because I really wanted to make sure that what I chose fit with Jamie's vision. This was my first look. I wasn't sure if I should have paired this necklace with such a busy blazer, but because the necklace is so neutral, it worked! This is the teaser Jamie posted on her FB page and I think it's my favorite of the whole set! Find Jamie on Model Mayhem or Facebook ! Outfit details: Floral Blazer from Dillard's Necklace from Columbia (as in, Mike bought it for me when he was on a mission trip) Tank top from Target (I was also wearing black leggings and black combat boots.)

Insta-recap

Thursday, Mike and I, along with my parents, drove down to Florida to visit my Grandpa. I hadn't seen him in a while, so I was excited to go down and visit him. See, I don't see my extended family a whole lot. Not because we dislike one another--we totally don't--it's just I've always lived so far from my aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents. (Always at least 8 hours.) But when we get together, it's always a good time! :) We went to visit my Grandpa mostly because I really really wanted to. Back around Christmas time, my dad had plans on driving down to Florida and bringing my Grandpa to SC for christmas. And, of course, that was the Christmas that I would be in Michigan (we alternate). I was pretty bummed about this and decided that, in the New Year, we'd go down to Florida. So, I talked to my Dad and we decided to go down for his birthday!  A few old things around my grandpa's house: this super old TV in the kitchen (I've never
