I think I followed Antique basket lady on Twitter after some Twitter talk in the Etsy promotional forums . I clicked one one of the pieces she Twittered about and I was in love. I knew I would have to showcase these gorgeous bags on my blog! These are some of my favorite pieces from her shop: Mini Zippy Coin/Business Card Clutch Case...Echino Scooter Wristlet Zipper Gadget Pouch in the Streets of Paris Messenger Style Shoulder Bag...Seed Pods in Black and White Park Slope...MiniWallet, Coin Purse Card Case in Fuchsia To view more items, visit Antiquebasketlady's shop or follow her @antiquebasket ! --- Saturday shops is a new weekly feature on In Pursuit that showcases some of my favorite Etsy shops. If you sell on Etsy and would like to suggest your shop, convo me on Etsy (tiffanyanne) or send me an email (fraukuech@gmail.com).

Monday night photos: blossoms

Today's pictures are of blossoming trees. I LOVE them and after noticing a few pretty buds on one of our trees in the back yard (we though it was dead! still not sure what it is...) I wanted to post pictures of trees blooming [ source ] [ source ]   [ source ] [ source ] [ source ] [ Source ]

a blog of almost completely unrelated things..

So I've been way deep in this social media stuff lately. Blogs and webinars . Tweeting and commenting. Digg , delicious , StumbleUpon , etc. (If your on any of these, by the way, add me!) Oh, gee. I just went about looking for friends on Digg, and turned out I already had a digg. Sheesh. I'll have to see if I can log in and close it out. I had NO idea I had a dig! Anyway, you'll see at the bottom of each post, that I also added this neat little share widget. So, in the occasion that you fine any of my posts interesting enough to share, you can! On facebook, twitter, delicious or even Twackle and Mr. Wong. Whatever those are. Anyway. I've neglected to put up my Friday photos and my Saturday shops! My Friday photos will Monday night photos, posted later tonight, and my Saturday shops will be posted tomorrow. In addition to all this computer nonsense, I've also been spending plenty of time outside. I LOVE working in the yard! :) On Thursday afternoon, I was lat

I'm so super!

What makes me so super? Well, I'm now the social media maven-in-training for Supergreen ! What's Supergreen? It's my husband's branding and graphic design company. He's realizing that a lot of companies are wanting to go further in the area of social media and that is an area in which Supergreen has definitely been lacking. So, here I am. Blogging here and at Supergreen . Tweeting @fraukuech and @supergrean07 . I'm using Tweetie, a desktop client for twitter so I don't accidentally tweet from the wrong twit. Social media may seem silly to some people, but it's actually pretty useful. Even with my Etsy store, I've been able to make sales because buyers found me via Twitter . Pretty neat, eh? Of course, I see something like this: [ source ] and go eeek! That's a lot of social media. But how 'bout I start with Twitter and the blog (and Facebook, once Lent's over) and take it from there.

Bangladesh

Out of curiousity, I just looked up the 10-day weather forecast for Dhaka, Bangladesh. Oh. My. Gosh. The lowest low was 78°. For the next ten days, the high ranges from 95° to 102°. One-hundred-and-two degrees? In MARCH? But I'm not going in March, I'm going in April! I can only imagine how hot it will be then. Also, it's super humid, adding to the heat. I don't know if I've mentioned that Mike and I are going to Bangladesh, yet. Have I? Well, we are. We'll be gone for about 10 days towards the end of April. Mike's been over there his fair share of time and is involved with two organizations that are based in Bangladesh: the Home of Love orphanage and Community Impact International . I'm excited to share this experience with him. via I have no idea what to expect, though. Last time I visited somewhere that was at all similar was when my family took a trip to the Phillipines when I was five. I remember: Finding my crayons broken, crying and b

Saturday Shops: bellamela

Once you go Mac, you never go back! And boy, do I love my Mac. Soon after I got my Mac...like that night...I began the hunt for a cute and safe laptop sleeve. I couldn't find anything I liked that was in my price range at retail shops or in the online stores my friends recommended. So I turned to Etsy and hit a gold mine. My favorite shop was Bellamela where I ended up purchacing this laptop sleve: Tiffany Blue and Brown PolkaDot MacBook Sleeve I mean, it's got my name in the title, how could I not? And anyway, I love Tiffany blue and polka dots. The sleeves are $19.99! It's hard to find this quality and cuteness anywhere else. via So lately, I've gotten a TON of comments on my post about Stargirl's upcomming death post . Unfortunately, they have all been spam. And in Russian. Seriously, like eight Russian novellas filled with links were left on that post yesterday. So, I've implemented comment approval. Which means you'll have to wait for me to approve your comment until I see it. But no captcha, don't worry. I hate captchas.

I love my house. I love love love it. Sometimes, I swoon to Mike, "Baby! It's our home!" And I'm super excited about our home. We've come a long way. It's not done yet, but most of the big hard stuff is done. I've moved the house photos from Flickr to Picasa . Mostly because I have much more space on Picasa and I want to save my Flickr space for my photos that are more than just snapshots. I had a lot of fun transferring the photos and seeing the progress! I often took pictures of the fireplace, so here's a progression of our living room for you. 31 August 2009: the day we closed on the house 05 September 2009: wall paneling & built-ins gone 31 October 2009: walls mostly dry-walled 29 December 2009: walls fully drywalled, mudded & taped, and primed 09 January 2010: ceiling painted, crown molding and trim around door 27 February 2010: walls & trim painted, floors refinished See the rest of the house photos at th

Saturday shops: maykela

Unique Jewelry by Maykela is one of the coolest jewelry shops on Etsy and when I thought about higlighting Etsy shops, I knew it had to be the first one. I could have spent way too much time wandering around the shop just looking at all the gorgeous hand wrought works of art for sale. I mean, I might make a cute pair of pearl earrings, but I am not a jewelry artist by any means. It's a wee bit out of my price range, but I had to share in case any of my readers might like this shop. Whether you buy or not, you have to check out this shop! It's a feast for the eyes. Coming soon: a guest post from Stargirl

Will you do a guest post? A what? A guest post! A death post? No! A GUEST post, you idiot! Oh, a guest post! I thought you said "Death post" and I would write "Dying sucks. The end." What should I write about? Whatever you want... I'm going to write about how to make the perfect kool -aid. No. I changed my mind. You have to write about fashion. --- And now that I posted this, she is totally obligated to guest blog. I know you're excited for it.

Tasty Tuesday: Date Night!

Yeah, okay, Tasty Tuesdays have been MIA lately because, well, the hubs has been working on Monday nights. Boo! Anyone want to watch the Bachelor finale with me tomorrow? Tenley or Vienna! Dun. Dun. Dun.... Anyway. Date night! Saturday, Mike had to work but got off at 7:30pm. I said, "Let's have a date tonight!"  And then promptly forgot to come up with something tasty until I only had two-and-a-half hours left. Being the domestic goddess that I am...I figured something out. We started with a yummy spring salad. Strawberries and walnuts on a bed of baby greens. And then had salmon with honey-mustard glaze and asparagus in lemon-butter sauce. Mike was pleasantly surprised when he came home (i.e. "Is that salmon?!"). We even cleared of our teeny-tiny kitchen table to eat. The table that is squished into the corner and I am backed up against the laundry closet's bi-fold doors. The only bad thing was the wine. Ugh, it was terrible! Not just like, bad wi

The final rose: live blogging the Bachelor season finale

So here we are, it's down to Tenley and Vienna. Who will Jake Pavelka choose? I can only hope that Ali comes back as the Bachelorette! [ Source ] I've decided to live blog while watching. Why? Because I constantly want to tweet about it, but have issues about flooding my followers with nonsense about this show. Also I've never lived blogged before. I've got a bug in my ear and want to try it. The show starts in 15 minutes. See you then! 8:00 - Woo-hoo! 8pm sharp--it's on! The teaser is annoyingly confusing! 8:06 -  Jake: "You're not supposed to be in love with two women at the same time." Uh, yeah. 8:09 -  Mom: "Is she the girl that everybody hated?" Your momma knows something, Jake! 8:11 - Awkward = Meeting your boyfriend's family for the first time. On TELEVISION. 8:14 - Hook, line, and sinker. They're in love with Tenley....I am so shocked! 8:17 - Love the editing. You don't have an opportunity to like Vi
