For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:

Ugly Betty was really good tonight. I went to Crossroads/Crossway/Cross-something (that Christian book store, you know) tonight to find a book that I saw on the Girl Talk blog. "Doing Things Right in Matters of the Heart." They speak very highly of it. Of course, Ugly Betty ends at 9. And I watched five minutes of Gray's Anatomy before hauling myself off the couch. So, by the time I got to the bookstore, it was definitely closed. So, I just kept going. I probably could have done a uie (according to Urban Dictionary, that is the proper slang for u-turn) and made it home quicker, but I just kept going. A veer to the right, a right turn at the new Spinx, another right turn onto the freeway and I was back in the right direction. It gave me a little extra time to think and to talk out loud and to pray. That was good. It was helpful. I'm glad that I have been able to have a teeny bit of alone time tonight, too. Even though it's far too warm in my apartment. I called the Time & Weather number (233-3000 if you're a Greenvillian) and they said the high tomorrow will be around 70. Hallelujah. I may even need a sweater tomorrow at the commencement concert. I'm wearing pants to the commencement concert. If it's chilly, then I just might be grateful for those pant legs. Anyway, I talked and prayed and cried the whole way home. I thought of what Amy said last night. I've just got to be thankful. And you know what? I am thankful. I can never look at another girl and wish that I had her life or wish that what was happening to her would happen to me. Because, God done good. He knows what's what and thus far He's given me a life that I really love. You can't mess with stuff like that. Sure, I'm a good writer, but I'm not that good.

Turn! Turn! Turn! (to Everything There is a Season) by Pete Seeger
Adapted from the Bible, Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven

A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven

A time to build up,a time to break down
A time to dance, a time to mourn
A time to cast away stones, a time to gather stones together

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven

A time of love, a time of hate
A time of war, a time of peace
A time you may embrace, a time to refrain from embracing

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven

A time to gain, a time to lose
A time to rend, a time to sew
A time to love, a time to hate
A time for peace, I swear its not too late
