Follow through

Lately I've noticed I have this habit of consistently writing things down in my planner just to ignore. For example, I have written "clean bathrooms" or "dust house" literally every day for a week. At the end of each day, I put an ❎ instead of a ☑️ and I write it again the next day.

It's gotten so bad, it's almost as if I write these tasks with the intent of not doing them. I would say I intend to do them, my actions say otherwise.

My actions say I don't believe my own words. My actions say my words hold no weight. They don't matter.

So, I'm making a new day's resolution (because who needs a whole new year to make a promise to herself).

I will do the things I say I am going to do.

If it is important enough to take up space in my planner, it is important enough to set aside the time to do.

Tomorrow, the only thing on our schedule is my super early workout class. It's the perfect day to stay home, enlist the kiddos, and catch up on housework.

Other things I have written down over and over again and not done: wake up by 6am, go to bed by 10pm, yoga at home, drink more water, journal, read the Bible, and, of course, spend less time on my phone!

What can I say? I'm a work in progress!
