Picture taken April 9, 2006. I was in Charleston with my parents for the weekend. They left the morning of the 8th and I stayed and extra day because I finally wanted to see what it was like to be in a strange city solo. I hated it and would have rather been with people. The morning after they left, I checked out of my hotel room and headed to the beach and took some great shots. This is one of them. The first picture used to have a place in my living room. It resides in a box now because it is not black and white and I live with roommates who are way more hip than I could ever hope to be.
The second photo is the edited version. I edited it because I edit almost all my photos these days. But it just goes to show that photos can be beautiful even without fiddling with them. Which do you like better?
I like the B&W one better. It has better contrast.
