So, since Joseph is going to be TEN months old on Halloween, I figured I'd better upload these photos! I was late taking them and even later posting them. But better late than never, right? Oh, and by the way? Y'all, I am so not a child photographer. And Joseph wasn't exactly in the mood to sit for portraits, and certainly not without his Ellie. He did cheer up quite a bit once I pulled out some toys for him to play with, as you can see. :) I had envisioned this cute photo shoot with lots of bubbles, but as I was the one blowing the bubbles AND taking the photos it was difficult. My EOS Remote app wasn't working and Joseph kept crawling to the camera.  But oh well! I have a new obsession. It's disposable film cameras. Yes, those flimsy, loud, cameras that are a little ridiculous when almost everyone has a camera on their phone. I used just a couple in past year and had a lot fun with them. However, when I got back these photos from the lake, I knew I had to use them more! What had happened was I decided to grab a generic grocery store brand disposable camera when we stopped for snacks on our way to to the lake. I wanted photos, but I didn't want to risk dropping my nicer cameras or my phone! (I'm pretty clumsy...) These photos are all completely unedited (except for the photo of Joseph on the ground, I upped the exposure a bit) and I just love them! The color is just gorgeous. :) Oh, and about the content... The Saturday before my mom's birthday, we borrowed their neighbor's pontoon boat and spend the afternoon on the lake. Oh my goodness, what fun! Anticipating some upcoming play dates! I joined a meetup.com play group and they have soooo many play dates scheduled! We're going to kindermusik next week. :) Dreaming of what the future holds. Feeling so grateful to be back home. Traveling with a baby whose waaay off any kind of schedule is rough.  Hoping that Joseph won't have any middle of the night wakeups. I'm pretty sure that's delusional of me though.  Listening to podcasts! I'm new to podcasts but I'm loving them. My current fave is the New Moms New Babies podcast. Making a lot of baby food. Roasted yellow & orange bell peppers, local green beans, blueberries, strawberries. Yum! Joseph loves to eat and has quite the appetite lately.  Watching An Idiot Abroad . We came across it on Netflix yesterday and watched a few episodes. Hilarious!

I think I first met Emily through swing dancing. She's also a girl Boy Scout (so much more so than me!) and she's married to my best friend's (Note: I miss you Anne Marie!) younger brother. As for Emily's blog, Keepers of the Orb ? It is fantastic. Like, really fantastic. She started drawing comics to chronicle her first pregnancy.
