Friday random bits

World's Best Father project by Engledow Art Photography Another photography blog linked to this and I just loved the whole series. Hilarious and creative! Say "Yes" Mrs Necklace by Kate Spade I was blessed to be second shooting with the fabulous Olivia Griffin this past Saturday and she was wearing this adorable necklace. Definitely a WANT. :) DIY Survival Candles Obviously a Pinterest find, right? But since Mike and I have a surplus of mason jars, this might be a great idea! Daredevil photographers brave boiling waters to capture the drama of searing-hot lava crashing into the seas off Hawaii BorrowLenses linked to this article on their facebook page and the photographs are phenomenal. WOW. And last but not least, Thriller by Michael Jackson. I'm currently learning how to do the dance and it's actually very complicated to do it accurately. But hey, I wouldn't expect anything less from the King of Pop.

The rum is, in fact, not gone.

Yo, Ho, Yo, Ho, It's "Talk Like A Pirate" Day! That time in September when sea dogs remember That grown-ups still know how ta play! When wenches are curvy and dogs are all scurvy And a soft-wear patch covers your eye, Ta hell with our jobs, for one day we're all swabs And buccaneers all till we die! --- Happy International Talk Like a Pirate Day!!! ♥, Tiffany Anne

Super-Tiffy!

I'm feeling rather accomplished at the moment. Why? The house is tidy (relatively), all three kids are napping, and I've done my astronomy project. Yes. I pretty much rock right now. [Pluto looks like a disco ball.] And for some reason I have a rather strong desire to go up to Camp Old Indian and go dancing. ♥, Tiffany Anne

The man says that's the way it is

I'm pretty tired of being stuck in a 90° room with flaky internet access. I was going to start going to Spill The Beans after classes each day...but that's not really in the budget right now. So, here I am, at the library. And I can't access Facebook. Though...since I'm here to do schoolwork, that's probably a good thing! ♥, Tiffany Anne

mail

I got two things in the mail today. One was a 2gb card for my new camera. It holds 456 9pixel photos and 15992 3pixel photos. Yeah, pretty nice. I also got a letter from Greenville Tech inviting me to join WISE. That is an acronym for Women In Science and Engineering. Nice, because, you know, I'm a JOURNALISM major. ♥, Tiffany Anne

I never went with Jack Kerouac to N-Y-C.

I haven't had any alcohol for the past week. So why on Earth did I wake up this morning feeling like I had way too many shots of Jagermeister last night? Well, that's fine. Tonight is the Boston slumber party. Tomorrows I'm going to hang out with Jeffy and Mary. We shall mix drinks and play Halo 2. I just saw some pics of an old friend of mine who is traveling and livin' it up. And I realize that I am free to do that. Part of me yearns to wander. But really, I like it too much here in Greenville. But maybe a roadtrip this Spring? Mar-izzle? We'll start saving now. Okay, Lou? Now...to work on that show review. ♥, Tiffany Anne

Fancy Dancers

Look, and this American Girl, Kaya , and I are both dancers. Her shawl's too big, just like mine. Ha-ha. :-) By the way, I danced so flippin ' good this past Wednesday. I danced better than I ever have, it was so great! As it was the 6 th Week Powwow (Vigil Call-Out night and Leather revealing night) it was a good time to dance so well. And I got rewarded with Vigil punch. Yes! ♥Tiffany♥

Spring break to do. No lonely charleston vacations this year.

I am going to do a few things during spring break. Spring clean my apartment Read lots of books Get the rest of my books from my parents & figure out where the heck to put them. Write a sonnet File my taxes Have a tacos & Nacho Libre night (friday @ 7:30pm....you're invited.) Hang out with my family Write write write! Speaking of write, write, write! I cannot write a book about things that never happened based on things that did. Because I'm writing about real people. And you cannot force real people to do something. Anne Lamont is right, the readers aren't that stupid, they'll totally see that I'm faking it. Anyway, I think it was just my excuse to create drama without ever really creating drama. Who needs it. I think I'm still going to work on it though. From a different stand point. ♥Tiffany♥

from my inbox: Kids On Marriage

HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHO TO MARRY? You got to find somebody who likes the same stuff. Like, if you like sports, she should like it that you like sports, and she should keep the chips and dip coming. -- Alan, age 10 No person really decides before they grow up who they're going to marry. God decides it all way before, and you get to find out later who you're stuck with. -- Kristen, age 10 WHAT IS THE RIGHT AGE TO GET MARRIED? Twenty-three is the best age because you know the person FOREVER by then. -- Camille, age 10 No age is good to get married at. You got to be a fool to get married -- Freddie, age 6 (very wise for his age) HOW CAN A STRANGER TELL IF TWO PEOPLE ARE MARRIED? You might have to guess, based on whether they seem to be yelling at the same kids. -- Derrick, age 8 WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR MOM AND DAD HAVE IN COMMON? Both don't want any more kids. -- Lori, age 8 WHAT DO MOST PEOPLE DO ON A DATE? Dates are for having fun, and people should use them to get to know each ...

From My Inbox:

A father passing by his son's bedroom was astonished to see that his bed was nicely made and everything was picked up. Then he saw an envelope, propped up prominently on the pillow that was addressed to "Dad." With the worst premonition he opened the envelope with trembling hands and read the letter. Dear Dad: It is with great regret and sorrow that I'm writing you. I had to elope with my new girlfriend because I wanted to avoid a scene with mom and you. I have been finding real passion with Stacy and she is so nice. But I knew you would not approve of her because of all her piercing, and tatoos, and tight motorcycle clothes and the fact that she is much older than I am. But it's not only the passion...Dad she's pregnant. Stacy said that we will be very happy. She owns a trailer in the woods and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. We share a dream of having many more children. Stacy has opened my eyes to the fact that marijuana doesn't really hur...

i see my fate...

An Irish daughter had not been to the house for over 5 years. Upon her return, her father cursed her; " Where have you been all this time, you ingrate! Why didn't you write us, not even a line to let us know how you were doing? Why didn't you call? You little tramp! Don't you know what you put your Mum through??!!" The girl, crying, replied, "Sniff, sniff... Dad... I became a prostitute..." "WHAT!!? Out of here, you shameless harlot! Sinner! You're a disgrace to this family - I don't ever want to see you again!" "OK, Dad - as you wish. I just came back to give Mom this luxury fur coat, title deeds to a ten bed-roomed mansion, plus a savings account certificate for 5 million. all i can think about is food.

i bought an awesome new chair today from goodwill. it's matches my bedroom exactly. and made me realize that my room is smaller than i though and i have no furniture arranging talent i also hung up some cafe rods today...but they have yet to have curtians i was at the gym today. whenever i set the machine (elitical, bike, whatever) to a certain plan...like, say, a hill (my favorite, only Lord knows why!)...i always end up dropping the resistance level when it gets hard. i won't say that it is entirely because i am lazy, but i just don't have the energy to make it up that hill. i've never worked out before now. and all it makes me is hungry. pasta, sundried tomatoes, spinach, garlic, olives...yummy. here i come! ♥Tiffany♥
