Greenville Zombie Awakening 2011

so much pretty: inspired

Look at me and all my SMP posts! I know you're impressed. You don't have to say it...but you can. If you want. Today, in assembling my outfit, I was thinking of a few fashion bloggers that I admire:  Elaine of Clothed Much, a modest fashion blog and Sydney of The Daybook . Elaine inspired me to wear this maxi dress with a belted cardigan and Sydney inspired me to find new ways to wear my scarf . I also learned about knotting my belt from both of them. As you can see, I'm getting back into this "so much pretty" stuff. I kinda gave up over the summer. But I live in SOUTH CAROLINA where we had heat wave after heat wave. 90 degree days with basically 200% humidity! Also, I'm a nanny. I wasn't exactly looking super fashionable. But now I'm back. Yay! Also, I've decided to tag my pieces of clothing so that you can, if you are so inclined, see the different ways that I wore things. For example: sequined sandals Don't forg

so much pretty: lia who?

Like mah pretty new necklace? I won it at the Reality Check silent auction along with TWO Daisy Cakes ! It's a Lia Sophia piece and when I told Mike that he asked if she was a local artist. ^_^  Like mah boots? Oh yeah, its getting to be BOOT weather! As long as I don't go outside around 3-4 when the temperature rises...  Today was NOT boot weather. I had a two photo shoots today and I wore Keds. Yeah, grandma shoes. (All the swing dancing ladies love their Keds.) My second photo shoot was at Campbell's Covered Bridge which was a really great location. Very beautiful and lots of different options for photo locations. I can't believed that I've never been there before but I think I'm going to check it out again when the leaves start to change!  (If you live in Greenville, don't forget to sign up for an Anne Marie mini-session this fall!) (These photos were taken last Sunday) Sweater: I dunno, but I'm on the couch and it's

so much pretty: stuck in the middle

So, last night, I decided to go crazy and part my hair in the middle! I've never really been able to pull it off, but I think I actually did this time. And I think I kind of like it. I feel like it makes my face look really different, but I suppose that's just framing. What do you think about the middle part: Yay or nay? It's been pretty chilly these past two days. It'll warm back up to the mid-80s by the middle of next week but for now, I'm really enjoying these 50s, 60s and low 70s. I think 75 is perfect weather! Why? Because I can wear jeans and a sweater and not hate life. Success! I love transitional seasons. ^_^ These photos were taken in our kitchen. We just got home from the Reality Check event that I blogged about a few days ago. I brought my camera and took a few pics that you can check out here .

so much pretty: twofer

I had intended on taking "So Much Pretty" photos several days while in Michigan. However, I only remembered on Sunday. So, oh well. That just means I can take photos of those other outfits another day. Today, you get a twofer. Two outfits, one day. The first one was for church (that we missed) and the second one was after church, when we went to my nephew's birthday party. Notice: the black hair. Yes, I dyed it black. There was no getting the blue out. It was a hopeless cause. Also notice the shoes. Man, have I gotten my money's worth with those shoes. I've worn them just about every single day this summer. I hope they last for next year too. I really dig these shoes. See how late we were running? I didn't even do my makeup. Also, this is my hair au natural. I tried wide belts, and they didn't look good on me. So I got this belt. And knotted it.  Mike's nephew's birthday party was next, so we came home and chang
